9:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26

Cooperative crews continue working this morning to restore power to all remaining outages across the state. While the storm system has moved out of the area, lingering impacts remain. Fallen trees and limbs weakened by ice can still cause outages, even after the storm has passed.

Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to make repairs and restore service where conditions allow.

Many parts of North Carolina are still dealing with ice, and very cold temperatures are expected to persist through Tuesday. These low temperatures can create additional challenges for both crews and equipment. We appreciate the patience of members as work continues and encourage everyone to remain weather-aware and prioritize safety during these conditions.

Real-time outage numbers from electric cooperatives across the state are available on a Statewide Outage Map.

7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25

Wintery precipitation began overnight and will continue throughout Sunday, with freezing rain, sleet and pockets of snow expected. As ice accumulates with below freezing temperatures, these conditions can lead to downed power lines, causing outages for members.

As forecasts show the storm moving across our state on Sunday, there’s a possibility of outages throughout the day and into the evening.

Crews are staged across the state and will respond to outages as they occur. As a reminder, use caution on icy roads and stay clear of downed power lines and report them immediately to your local electric cooperative.

Real-time outage numbers from electric cooperatives across the state are available on a Statewide Outage Map.
