Doug serves as Chief Financial Officer for North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives, where he directs all financial aspects of the family of organizations including, the North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC), N.C. Association of Electric Cooperatives (NCAEC) and Tarheel Electric Membership Association (TEMA). His strategic vision is critical to navigating the financial aspects of the changing energy landscape and powering a brighter future for North Carolina’s rural communities.

Browne, who joined the organization in 2004, brings extensive financial leadership to the CFO position and most recently served as Vice President of Finance and Accounting, where he played a key role in overseeing financial operations and supporting the cooperatives’ long-term goals.
