Surry-Yadkin EMC, based in Dobson, celebrated National Arbor Day by presenting Cedar Ridge Elementary in Surry County with a Japanese Maple tree to plant on their campus. SYEMC Safety Coordinator Sheldon Howlett and Right-of-Way Coordinator Travis Bodealso also spent time with the second grade class discussing electrical safety, and Safety Sam, representing NC811, made an appearance to address safe digging practices.
