Mangum Honored for Service on National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative Board of Directors

Wake Electric CEO and General Manager Jim Mangum was recently recognized for 12 years of service on the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) Board of Directors. Mangum served the maximum four terms representing District 1.

NRTC made a $2,500 donation to Wake Electric’s charitable program, Wake Electric Care Inc., in honor of his service. The electric co-op’s Operation RoundUp and other giving programs are funded through this charitable foundation.

NRTC is an organization focused on providing commercial technology solutions to the nation’s rural electric and telephone cooperatives and companies. Mike Malandro, president and CEO of Prince George Electric Cooperative in Waverly, Virginia, was elected to fill Mangum’s District 1 board seat.
