Lumbee River EMC recently launched a newly designed website at lumbeeriver.com. The redesign is in response to increased traffic over recent years and a trend of members using mobile phones for access.
“One of the main driving forces behind this update was to better optimize the site for mobile users,” said Lumbee River EMC Vice President of Corporate Services Walter White. “We now have more mobile users visiting our site each month than desktop users.”
The co-op has seen overall site traffic increase in recent years, rising from 200,000 visits in 2015 to 230,000 visits in 2017. Members are visiting the site for a range of reasons, including making payments, reporting security lights being out, and monitoring the situation with outages through use of a real-time outage map.
The updated design makes the things members are most interested in more accessible, and utilizes a responsive design for better viewing on mobile devices. Lumbee River EMC worked with Raleigh-based Imaginovation to implement the redesign.
