Haywood EMC Sends Thanks to Local VFD

In appreciation for Upper Hominy Fire & Rescue’s assistance during outages and emergency work for its members, Haywood EMC recently returned the favor with a contribution toward the purchase of new equipment. The Candler-based fire department requested help from the co-op to purchase a new chainsaw.

“This chainsaw will be placed on a new fire engine and will assist us in our fire and rescue efforts,” said Fire Chief Shane Prestwood.
