Four County EMC Supports Local Senior Citizens

Throughout May, Four County EMC delivered fans to agencies that serve senior citizens. In turn, these agencies donate these fans to elderly residents who are in need. The co-op has been donating fans to local agencies for more than 25 years.

“We are happy to help senior citizens stay cool this summer as the heat can be hazardous to their health,” explained Chris Ingram, Four County’s marketing supervisor.

Four County distributed fans to the Duplin County Services for the Aged, Sampson County Department of Aging, Garland Senior Center, Bladen County Division on Aging, Columbus County Department of Aging and Pender Adult Services.

“The collaboration with Four County has been a huge blessing to so many seniors in Duplin County,” said Melisa Brown, director of the Duplin County Services for the Aged.
