EnergyUnited Member Named Youth Leadership Council Representative

Youth Tour participants have returned home with new friendships and memories from the trip, but the journey is just beginning for Chetan Singalreddy, a member of EnergyUnited. Singalreddy was selected by his peers to represent North Carolina on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Leadership Council. One student from each state is selected and will participate in a July leadership workshop, as well as represent North Carolina at NRECA’s 2018 Annual Meeting in Nashville.

Singalreddy is from Mooresville and is a rising senior at South Iredell High School in Statesville. He plans to go to college to study Business Administration so he can eventually start a business. His school activities include Show Choir, National Honor Society, Service Club, Tennis and Beta Club. He is also a YMCA Volunteer.

Singalreddy will return to Washington, D.C., July 15-19 to begin his leadership training with NRECA for his year as our state’s YLC. He will also be competing to be the national Youth Tour Spokesperson.
