Carolina Country Receives National Award

Carolina Country magazine was recognized last week at the National Electric Cooperative Statewide Editors Association (SEA) annual Willies Awards presentations, named for electric cooperative mascot Willie Wiredhand. The awards recognize statewide publications for excellence in writing, photography and design.

Senior Associate Editor Renee Gannon received an award for her September 2016 article, “Exploring the Roots of Your Family Tree,” available at carolinacountry.com.

Carolina Country is a monthly consumer magazine with a paid subscription of 700,000, reaching more than 2 million readers in North Carolina. Published continuously since 1946, Carolina Country is distributed to families, farms and businesses across the state on behalf of North Carolina’s electric cooperatives.
