Carolina Country Magazine Receives National Award

Carolina Country magazine, which is distributed to families, farms and businesses across the state on behalf of North Carolina’s electric cooperatives, recently received the 2020 Bronze Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in the magazine category.

For more than 45 years, the Bronze Anvil Awards have recognized the best in public relations tactics that contribute to the success of overall programs or campaigns.

“Congratulations to all of this year’s Bronze Anvil Award winners, who exemplify the truly strategic, imaginative and important work taking place across the industry and throughout the year,” said 2020 PRSA Chair T. Garland Stansell.

“We’re honored to be recognized for our work and thank the state’s electric co-ops — as well as our engaged readers — for contributing to the success of the magazine,” said Warren Kessler, publications director for North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives.

Carolina Country magazine is the largest circulating publication in the state with more than 700,000 subscribers and has been published continuously since 1946.
