Beat the Buzzer! Basketball Camp Scholarship Applications Accepted until March 31

Electric cooperatives are continuing to accept applications from rising middle school boys and girls to attend basketball camp this summer, thanks to their local electric cooperative. Applications must be submitted online at ncelectriccooperatives.com/sports-camps by March 31.

As of press time, both camps are still scheduled to take place on N.C. State and UNC’s campuses in late June.

Rising middle school boys are encouraged to apply for a scholarship to attend the Roy Williams Carolina Basketball Camp at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, June 20-24. Grade eligibility for this scholarship is determined by the sponsoring cooperative. Please contact your local electric cooperative to confirm eligibility.

Rising sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls are encouraged to apply for a scholarship to attend the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp at N.C. State University in Raleigh, June 21 – 24.

Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Coach Wes Moore and a 2019 camp scholarship winner.

Each electric cooperative will select one boy and one girl to receive a scholarship. A total of more than 50 scholarships will be awarded statewide.

The full scholarships will cover the cost of attending the overnight camp. Campers at both camps will work closely with college basketball coaches and staff to develop fundamental skills that help the young athletes perform and except both off and on the court.
