At N.C. Bright Ideas, we want to share our sincerest gratitude for every teacher across North Carolina. You have taken an unprecedented situation and are going above and beyond to support the education of your students during this difficult time. We support you, and we thank you! We also want to take this opportunity to share some news. Our 2020 grant program will open for applications on April 1! Applications will be accepted until September at www.ncbrightideas.com. We encourage you to apply, and look forward to partnering with you on innovative projects for your students!
Innovation in the classroom made possible through Bright Ideas grants from Carteret-Craven Electric Co-op!
From our friends at Halifax Electric Membership Corporation: "We have enjoyed following Ms. Tenesha Lee's Bright Ideas project at Hollister Elementary! Pre-K and Kindergartners were able to follow the life cycle of caterpillars as they became butterflies. Students then released the butterflies. Projects such as this one would not be possible without the Bright Ideas grant program. Halifax EMC is proud to support our local schools, teachers, and students! #NCBrightIdeas"
From our friends at Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative: "Our CHSS Bright Ideas Winners were recognized at last night's BOE meeting! We will be providing a project update for you in the coming weeks. Congratulations to these outstanding educators!"
2019 was a banner year for our program! Together, our electric cooperatives gave more than $700k to teachers across the state for innovative, creative classroom projects that will benefit approximately 169,000 students. Read more about our record-breaking year in this recent Spotlight Story.
